Students who are classified as Audit Only are permitted to register for day and evening classes. Auditing classes means that a student will register for coursework without receiving credit. The following conditions apply to students auditing classes:
The same tuition applies to audited classes as classes for credit & students must have a current Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
Audited classes will not appear on a student's official record, will not be considered in calculating enrollment verifications, and do not fulfill the minimum registration requirements.
Audits do count in the maximum credit hours allowed per semester/term. Verification of a class taken for audit is not possible.
Not all classes or sections are available to audit. Departments and instructors use "permission-to-audit" codes to manage restrictions.
Students who want to be classified as Audit Only must complete a Clearance to Register form and an Ecclesiastical Endorsement. No application fee is required. Audit Only classification is only approved for a single semester; the Clearance to Register form must be completed every semester or term a student plans to attend as Audit Only. Ecclesiastical Endorsements are valid for one year. Audit Only students are required to wait until the first day of class to receive and use permission-to-audit codes.
Students must be officially enrolled either for credit or audit to be eligible to attend class.
