Advising

BYU Evening Classes has an advisor available to assist you with your educational planning. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 801-422-2872. In-person and phone appointments are both available between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Meet Our Advisor

Kyle Mammen holds a B.A. in political science from BYU and an M.S. in counseling from the University of North Texas. Prior to working in BYU's Evening Classes he was an advisor for the University of North Texas and worked with students majoring in the social sciences and biology. Kyle has years of experience in transfer articulation and can coordinate transfer requirements with your home school's academic advisor. He also has experience working in financial aid. He can provide assistance with:

  • Selecting courses for upcoming semesters
  • Navigating BYU’s policies and procedures
  • Choosing an academic and/or career path
  • Returning to school after a lengthy break
  • Getting the most value out of your courses
  • Or helping resolve any other questions or concerns you may have about attending Evening Classes

Kyle is a native of Park City, Utah and is thrilled that life presented him with an opportunity to return to BYU. He enjoys spending his weekends in Utah’s varied outdoor activities with his wife and four children.

 

Career and Academic Resources

  • BYU has several Career Assessments available. Some require a small fee and may require an appointment with our Academic Advisor in order for you to receive your test results. Several can be taken immediately online and provide you with your results once you are finished.
